From Texas to Missouri: A Happy Birthday and A Happy New Year

Heyyyyyy Y’allllllll!

I just wanted to drop by and say Happy New Year!

This past Wednesday, Dec. 27th, 2023, after 4:30pm was the start of my vacation until January 3rd, 2024…talk about a nice little break…a very much needed break. While I was able to rest the remainder of Wednesday and the whole day of Thursday, again much needed, Friday, the 30th was the day that my sister, niece, son and I would take that nice long drive up to Missouri.

** It may just be me, but road trips are not what they used to be. Back then, I could kill that 10-hour drive easily, no matter if it was light or dark outside. NOW, I’m driving those 10 hours and fighting for my life at the same time! Those roads are too dark, the other drivers make my nerves bad, and did I mention, those roads are too dark! I could probably just chalk it up to age. **

We arrived around 9:20pm in Missouri to Aunty Lee Ann and Uncle Gary’s house. I should mention the whole purpose of The Texas Crew (9 people) heading to Missouri was to celebrate a birthday for Aunty Lee Ann on the 31st and to also bring the New Year in as well!**** Anyway, we arrived in Missouri and was greeted with hugs and the smell of fish and fries! You know I had to grab a plate, or two but that’s no one’s business! (he he!)

There’s really no story here, I was very appreciative of the fact that a large enough portion of our family came together and had a great time! I truly enjoyed myself and I was able to snap so many photos and even grab some video!

Take a look at few photos below!
